Thu, 01 Dec 2016 05:28:34 GMTSubject says information technology all :) I got a new phone and I'd similar to exist able to play MD on it. I can play on the old 1 over wifi for at present, though. Thank you!

Thu, 01 Dec 2016 06:39:33 GMTAll the data is stored on your device that yous play on. At that place is no server-side/cloud salvage file or anything (although that would be nice). Just you lot should be able to transfer your save data if you are going from iOS to iOS, or Android to Android! For iOS, you lot tin normally sync your sometime phone to iTunes, so sync your new phone to iTunes (restore using the onetime device data) and it should motility all your old stuff from your one-time phone to your new phone, including Merge Dragons and all of its data. Or if y'all use iCloud, the process different, and there's info hither: [Transferring Apps and Information to New Telephone](http://smartphones.reviewed.com/features/how-to-transfer-apps-data-new-smartphone-android-iphone-ios) That link too has info about Android to Android, which I'm less familiar with, but should work. If you lot're going betwixt Android and iOS, that may not exist possible. What Bone are y'all working with? Let me know if this helps. Best of luck and congrats on the new phone!

Thu, 01 Dec 2016 07:xxx:02 GMTAndroid to Android. Sorry, should have specified. In theory I should be able to port things over, but unfortunately I obviously hadn't turned on the automatic backup feature. I have it turned on now, but it doesn't seem to actually back itself up when you do that, and information technology doesn't have a "go dorsum yourself up now" button for me to press. Then I'm kind of waiting for it to do its affair. I accept a copy of all the files from my internal storage on my sometime phone sitting on my PC, though, so I might exist able to manually motion stuff over if it comes to that.

Thu, 01 Dec 2016 21:20:xix GMTIt did its thing. Sadly the transferring over transferred the app, but not the information. If I tin figure out where the data is stored on the former phone I can manually movement it over, but meanwhile I can still play on the old telephone as it'due south even so a functional wireless device.

Thu, 01 Dec 2016 21:56:56 GMTOk, I know what's going on. It'due south not prompting me for Tap and Get for some reason, which should solve this. However, I take another solution. I need to get a cable to connect the new phone to my pc, though, equally information technology's the new Micro USB type C and I don't accept a cablevision that will connect it to my PC. So I volition eventually get the data ported over :)

Thu, 08 Dec 2016 23:xl:49 GMTIn the interest of closure, last update. The cablevision arrived, and I was able to move the data over. I now take MergeDragons on my new phone. Yay!

Friday, 09 Dec 2016 06:35:32 GMTI'one thousand then glad to hear it! Wish it weren't such a hurting, but I am relieved you were able to keep your progress! I wonder... were you lot able to see the specific data file(due south) for Merge Dragons this way? If and then, you could even proceed backups I gauge. Anyway, glad it worked out!

Fri, 09 Dec 2016 07:fifteen:22 GMTWell, if tap and go had actually worked as intended, it wouldn't have been such a pain, merely my sometime phone was older and from some other land, which might or might non thing. Anyway, I now take Helium, a fill-in and restore app, and I used that to backup to my Google Drive and restore from in that location. So I tin't see the files direct, but I tin utilise Helium to do a fill-in whenever i intendance to, so information technology works out. I'm actually glad information technology worked, too! I am near done with my daily dragon gems and didn't want to renew that until I was certain I could play on my new phone.

Sat, 07 Jan 2017 18:21:ten GMTI have a similar question. I'm trying to port my saved file from Android to my PC where I take installed BlueStacks, so I tin play the game on my PC. Do you know where the file/folder of the saved file can be found on Android?
mergedragons
Sat, 07 Jan 2017 22:37:31 GMTTry this location, if yous take it: /sdcard/Android/information/com.mazzastudios.mergedragons/files/ It's all the files in the "files" folder under com.mazzastudios.mergedragons. At that place should be a lot of files in there with names like "Level_Grasslands_1_stats.txt" and such, with dissimilar names for the levels you've played, and there will be a bunch of other random salvage files also. But that'south how yous know you've constitute the correct folder.

Lord's day, 08 Jan 2017 00:33:01 GMTThanks very much! For those referencing how to exercise this in the future: I uploaded the "files" folder to Google Drive, then downloaded it to my PC, so was able to copy the zipped folder to the aforementioned location in Blue Stacks, unzip information technology, and it worked!

Sun, 08 Jan 2017 xv:22:18 GMTCan you do this with apple products?
mergedragons
Sun, 08 Jan 2017 21:34:09 GMTNo, not manually unless it's jailbroken. For iOS, to port to a new device you tin can sync with iTunes and then restore to a new device -- but this flow is really for moving all of your stuff to a new device, similar when you get a new phone. I don't know if it'south possible to transfer merely a single app'due south data (I personally have an iPhone that I play on, and haven't found a manner; iOS merely may non permit it).
